(Smaller labels underneath)
Not wanting to take on too many conflicting ideas but more get a general feel of the different elements that we'll be working with to get an idea of what sort of direction we're going for and then improve on specifics when we draw up a list of the content that will definitely be included (things like walls, pillars, doors etc etc.)
There's a lil' section at the bottom which is music based as I'd quite like to use some of my extra time to model some musical stuff to go along with the planned soundtrack I'd like to put with our level.
Some very basic floor plan layouts to work out the different areas of the level, needs a lot more work based on the players narrative direction (ie. which way they walk through the level)
A brief investigation on how we can build our architectural assets in a modular fashion to create larger areas from a series of interconnecting pieces
During our meeting on thursday we kinda came to the idea of having some more interaction elements through the scene and considered that with our main character being a magician that we turn the theatre into a sort of trick house where the player will be led through the environment via a series of weird happenings as vaguely illustrated above. Corridors that lead nowhere, that twist round (possibly altering the gravity) doors to nowhere, upside down rooms (from twisty corridors) etc.
The next step I think we should take on monday is to draw up a comprehensive list of things we -definitely- will be using within the environment, from textures to architectural elements to props so that we can start to delegate people certain things to start iterating on more specifically (hence my smaller initial moodboard). We can then each do some more focused research.
Its potentially important to come up with some style guide ideas with relation to the scale and any stylisation of elements, as well as a more defined colour/saturation theme throughout.
Nice to some layout stuff being work on dude, nice stuff. I'm curious as to how detailed we want to go with the realism of this stuff? Do we need dressing rooms, a bar, maybe kitchens if they server any food or drinks, toilet rooms, etc etc. Maybe something to discuss in meeting sometime, if I didn't already miss that stuff on Thursday.
