Task Sheet Week 2
Absences: all present
Last week's progress:
- Since last week we had all been working
towards the idea we initially had of the illusion theatre/magic show.
- We each brought several ideas and initial
concepts following research on the decided upon theme which included
various examples of concepts, plans and paintovers.
- A presentation was made for todays meeting
session which we received some good feedback on based on the scope of our
project and the concepts behind the interaction model.
- In general the theme is
fairly strong (illusion/trickery and physics based interaction) but the
scale of doing that -and- a whole theatre interior would likely prove way
too much work for our timescale
- During our meeting we have
shifted the location from a theatre to an interior of a sort of manor
house which would have the same sort of trick spaces which lowers the
scale of the project but increases its level of focus
Issues:
·
Scope
is too big. Revision needed
·
Idea
is still unclear
Things to take forward and complete:
- Returning to initial research based on new
direction (Twisted manor/house interior rather than theatre) Smaller and
more manageable. Broken down into seperate rooms
- Following research the first half of the week
we need to whitebox before next monday as a priority
- Figure out room layouts and their relation to
each other
- Try and decide on the specifics of the
'illusions' so that we can arrange our different rooms together.
Conclusion
This week's
goal is to research Victorian houses, illusions and layouts. In turn creating a
white box for the paint-over's.
